About

This blog will follow myself and my two friends as we watch all the films on IMDB’s top 250 movie list.

FACTS

  • The movies were pulled off IMDB’s website on April 7, 2011.
  • The order was randomized — courtesy a C++ program that Marc wrote — because we felt that watching the films in ascending or descending order would paint our opinions too heavily.
  • The movies will be scored (1-10) in Script, Acting, Directing, Cinematography, Soundtrack, and Special Effects.

AUTHORS

Ben is studying Public Relations and Biology at Baylor University.  He plays water polo for Baylor and is the president of the Bear Pit.  His favorite movies are science fiction flicks (assuming they’re good — there is nothing worse than a bad science fiction movie).

Marc is studying Computer Science and Film at Baylor.  He codes games in his spare time and enjoys competing in “Game Jams.”  Marc particularly enjoys cult films and Westerns.

Medlock is studying Computer Science and Japanese.  To call gaming a hobby for him would be an understatement.  He knows RPGs better than most people know their family.  Medlock enjoys watching anime, but his favorite movies are psycho thrillers and character-based comedies.

You make it out like I don’t know my family. That would be terrible.

No no. I simply say that you know RPG’s about as well as others know their families. That’s not mutually exclusive.

Many people might interpret it that way. And if I had so much knowledge of RPGs, could I even know that much about anything else? Good question, hm?

I am comparing YOUR knowledge of RPG’s to OTHERS’ knowledge of their families. So THERE!

It’s just a clear question of mental capacity. Are you claiming mine is above that of most people? I don’t know how else I could know so much.

It’s a question of where you apply your mental capacity. For instance, you are not exactly a social butterfly.
